Fall is such an uncomplicated season compared to the rest. Winter is all slush and muck, boots and coats. Summer oozes wet swimsuits, humidity and screen doors slamming. And don’t get us started on spring, what with all its fever and cleaning.

Crate and Barrel throws a party with its luscious tempo velvet pillow in persimmon ($32.95) and its Como paisley pillow ($79.95, above), with smooth swirls of reds, golds and greens. For that city loft, tuck in Calvin Klein’s Kalahari decorative pillows ($56-65), or his twill stripe decorative pillows ($40), both at Macy’s. We are seriously in love with Target’s red wildflower pillow, ($25, left), and pretty much obsessing over Urban Outfitter’s vintage-inspired velvet pouf in orange ($32, below). And if you find yourself needing one last jewel-toned punch, get yourself back to Overstock for their Fashion Industries Nisha pillows (set of two, $25). They’ll pull your look together and add a touch of Boho, too.
