Basically, there are two ways to show up at a New Year’s Eve party: One is wearing the safe look (as in black dress, black tights, black pumps).

Surprise! Dillard’s has the best shoe section of most any fairly mid-price department store out there. “Shoe” your crazy side with Gianni Bini’s Tasti heels. They are 40 percent off, making these babies $58. 

Is your New Year’s resolution to show your softer, sweeter side? Start the year off right by wearing these feminine Kalisa rose pumps.  Purple is the “it” color of the season, so you’ll be able to wear these shoes year round. Buy them at Baker’s for $50.
