Cast a red, white and blue vote
Everyone is excited. Today is the day when the most heated, expensive, watched and pundited presidential election in American history takes place. And you have waited a long time to get in that line and cast your ballot. But stop. You can’t just throw on any old duds. You need to be different. You need to be a proud American. You need red, white and blue garb that looks good and will also keep you warm €˜cause you may be standing t We’ve put together a quick voter’s guide: There’s no time to order online, so here are some trios of items from four major retailers. Just rush in, grab this stuff and proudly proclaim your freedom.
Let’s start at Nordstrom: You can probably grab all these items in the same general vicinity. First, the beautiful bright blue cashmere wrap, which will be snuggly (and a bargain - it was $118, now it’s $90), then race over and grab that pair of button-tab red cashmere gloves for $58, and top it off with a saucy white Juicy Couture beanie cap with a charm and a bow, for $95. No Nordstrom nearby? Then hustle over to Macy’s. Run for the sweaters and snap up their beautiful Charter Club cowl-neck very red cashmere sweater ($130), race to the outerwear and grab the fabulous bright blue Laundry peacoat with velvet buttons, for $273 (it was $420!) and then swing by the pants and snag the Style&co. flat pocket white corduroy pair for $46.
So you’d prefer to go a little more upscale? No problem. We’ve gone shopping at Saks for you. You’ll stand out in the line in a white Searle cashmere mini-dress that’s on sale for $299 (it was $498). Top it with a navy Burberry double-breasted Italian wool trenchcoat, $1,695. Then swing by handbags and snatch up the very red Versace croc satchel that’s, well, it is so expensive let’s just not get into that now.
