A wand, a Paris fairy and new Jack
Consider yourself au courant with all things stylish and beautiful? Here are a trio of new products headed to store shelves that you can tell your friends about before they see them. They could be impressed, or they could know that you have a subscription to WWD.com, like we do. First, Maybelline, the ruling maker of mascara, is coming out with a new one in January called Lash Stiletto. The new mascara, which is shaped like a stiletto heel, is intended to lengthen lashes, give them a shine and (using a ”crisscross brush”) coat each and every lash. It will be a mere $8.95 and come in three shades. Next is a new Paris Hilton fragrance being released in October called Fairy Dust. This will be Hilton’s fifth fragrance and will be sold at Macys, Belk, Bon-Ton and Boscov’s stores for $45 for a 1.7 oz bottle. The company that distributes Paris Hilton’s fragrances says her scents sell well in Russia, South America and the U.K. The news is all over the perfume blogs (yes, there are lots of perfume blogs), one reporting that Paris will appear in the advertisements for the perfume as a fairy. If you really need to, you can see a picture of Paris floating around like a fairy from the ad campaign here, at People.com The third new product is one for men, an expansion of the Every Man Jack skin care line that has been exclusive on at retail by Target since last year. They will add three new items, called the Skin Clearing Line, all anti-acne items. There are 30 products in the Every Man Jack line, and every product is $5. You can also find it at Everymanjack.com.
